Curry Powder & Masala Blends

Unlike single spices, the grade of a blend is its recipe and batch consistency. We formulate standard export curries, traditional Indian masalas, and custom private-label blends. Every batch is strictly controlled for spice content %, ash limits, and organoleptic consistency.

Batch Consistency & Testing

Because blends are composed of many spices, they can easily hide adulteration or excess salt filler. We test both the input spices and the final blended batch to guarantee purity.

Parameter Specification / Limit Test method
Spice content % >=85% (FSSAI export minimum) Gravimetric / Recipe Audit
Total ash <=2% Gravimetric (Checks salt/filler limit)
Moisture <=8-10% Oven / Karl Fischer
Volatile oil 1-3% (depends on grade) Distillation
Sudan dyes I-IV Not detected LC-MS/MS (via chilli input)
Aflatoxin B1 <=5 ppb HPLC / ELISA
Lead (Pb) & Chromium (Cr) To EU / FSSAI limits ICP-MS (via turmeric input)
Pesticide multi-residue & EtO To destination MRLs GC-MS / LC-MS/MS
Salmonella Absent in 25 g ISO 6579 culture
Mesh 60-80 mesh, 95% passing Sieve analysis
Organoleptic Consistency Matches gold-standard reference Sensory Panel
The consistency moat: The biggest risk with imported blends is batch drift — the buyer approves a sample, but the commercial shipment tastes different. We prevent this by locking the recipe by weight, carefully controlling input grades, using high-homogeneity ribbon blenders, and keeping a sealed reference "gold standard" sample of every approved batch.

Buyer FAQ
What is the difference between Curry Powder and Indian Masalas?

Curry Powder is largely a Western/colonial invention—a standardized, turmeric-heavy, mild all-purpose yellow powder. It is extremely popular in West Africa, the UK, and the Caribbean. Indian Masalas (like Garam Masala, Chana Masala) are specific regional blends designed for particular authentic dishes, often heavily relying on aromatics like cardamom, clove, and cumin without the turmeric base.

Can you pack under my own brand name?

Yes, private label is our specialty. We can produce standard export blends and pack them into retail-ready pouches, bags, or tins printed with your brand logo, barcodes, and required language. This saves you the considerable expense of secondary repacking at your destination.

How do you ensure batch-to-batch consistency?

Consistency is the most important factor in blends. If a recipe drifts, consumers notice. We lock your formulation by weight, strictly control the grade of the input spices (e.g. always using the same ASTA chilli), blend in high-capacity ribbon blenders, and test every new batch against a sealed "gold standard" retained sample from your originally approved run.

Do you offer low-temperature grinding?

Yes. For premium buyers, we offer low-temperature (and cryogenic) grinding. Standard hammer mills generate heat which destroys delicate volatile oils (aroma). Low-temp grinding preserves the full aromatic profile of spices like cardamom and clove, significantly increasing the shelf life and potency of the finished blend.

Private Label Manufacturing

Your Recipe, Your Brand. Our Production.

We specialise in contract manufacturing for international spice brands, supermarket chains, and distributors. If you have an existing recipe, we will replicate it precisely using high-quality Indian inputs. We lock the recipe by weight and sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) to protect your IP.

We can pack directly into your retail-ready packaging (stand-up pouches, tins, or jars), printed with your branding, barcodes, and destination language. This eliminates secondary repacking costs at your destination port.

🔒 Recipe IP Protection
We operate under strict NDA. Your proprietary formulation is completely protected and never shared or sold to other buyers.
❄️ Cryogenic / Low-Temp Grind
For premium brands, we offer low-temperature grinding and N₂ flushing, preserving volatile oils and extending the aromatic shelf life.
